Hey everyone,
I just wanted to let you know what we are doing this month in our 8th country, Ukraine!
We are living in the city of Ternopil located in Western Ukraine, and we are partnering with Dwelling of God Baptist Church for our ministry.
Our ministry includes everything from Sunday sermons and leading worship to teaching about the Reformation!
The local government and Universities have approved for us to come and teach the students about the Reformation. Why? Because it's been 500 years since it's beginning.
As Americans, we are part of a country founded by Protestants. The people here have seen how those priciples of Christianity have affected everything from our economy to our lives and want to learn more. This is going to be a very unique ministry and I will share the details as they unfold.
We will aslo be teaching English this month at the church to people 16+ years old. So in order to spread the word about the classes, our host had us go into the city center and start playing while we handed out flyers.
Most of the time John and Haley played/ sang with a guitar ukelele combo. For the last bit I joined in drumming along on the guitar case. It was such a hit even the local news advertised it on Facebook.
We were told we will be doing more promotional events like this so keep an eye out for those as well!
Overall, this month is very different from Africa! Haha
So I ask that you pray for these things specifically:
-A revival and experience of God in Ternopil and Ukraine
– For wisdom as we teach English and about the Reformation
– For opportunities to share the whole gospel with those students
– Peace over our whole team
– Softened hearts of the people we speak with
– Freedom from distraction

P.S. – The weather is also WAY colder than anywhere in Africa, so we hit up a thrift shop for some warm clothes (picture below).
