Entering month 11 I have really noticed how much a host impacts your month, good and bad.
Our hosts Shelley and Alistair opened their arms wide open to my team. They welcomed us to their table for every meal, something they did not have to do!

They took us on their family outing on a game ranch where they were going to spend a few days with some friends. They took us out with a game guide who helped us spot Zebra, Giraffe, Impala, Rhino, Bush Buck, Stable, an Eagle and more.
We had an entire house to ourselves that had three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen (that we never had to use because we were always eating at Al and Shelley’s), real deal couches, and so much love!

They have a beautiful piece of property that never ends and they have so many dreams for their organization.
The beautiful thing about Al and Shelley is every chance they get they are giving glory to God. Alistair walks in the bush and sees the Lord in everything and he wants everyone to see it too. He took us out on the property and showed all of us the beautiful things that our God has created. He told us about his dreams for Lasting Impressions and in everything that he showed us we were able to see God in a different way.

Shelley, who does a wide variety of things, starts each morning off with helping people with a wide variety of medical issues. She runs a small “clinic “ every morning out of her own home. Turning no one away, accepting no payment for anything.
She then leads staff devotions and meetings where in both of those settings everyone is bouncing ideas off of each other. She wants them to lead, take charge or different events. Their staff have the opportunity to go to different conferences and inherence the way they lead and follow. When they get back from a conference or event they get to share with the group what they learned and how they can implement that in Lasting Impressions and in their lives. Shelley wants to hear their ideas, concerns, what they are learning and what they are growing in. Which was refreshing!

Al and Shelley are two beautiful examples of two people who held out their hands to God and gave their lives to the Lord, wanting to be used by Him in anyway he wanted to use them.
