It is a literal dream come true to be here in Cape Town, South Africa, a lifelong dream destination of mine. This month we are partnering with an organization in one of Cape Town’s roughest neighborhoods. Yesterday was our first day with them, and it’s going to be an incredible month. This organization works heavily in community development, outreach, and service. We will also be involved in various projects around the organization’s base, as well as working with youth in the local community. We will provide and serve meals to the impoverished and help run after-school programs for the youth in these dilapidated neighborhoods. We’ll also be working with our organization’s church ministry. Cape Town undoubtedly mesmerizes, yet, I’m as drawn to the projects we work in as I am to the sights the city has to offer. Community ties are often tightest in the hood, and it’s already been cool connecting with locals. This month will be legendary, I’m sure, and I’m excited to bring love into devastated hearts and neighborhoods with my team. Thank you all for the support, and, as always, adventure on!
