Young Alex is turning 22. That’s insane. I remember celebrating friends’ 22nd birthdays as a nineteen year old.
My unforgettable 21st year was monumental in my growing process and served as a stepping stone into the future. I turn 22 on the 22nd (which apparently makes it a bigger deal, so I’ve heard) and I can’t fathom all in store for me in the golden year.
Fundraising has been such a humbling process, and one of sheer vulnerability, which I’m not so hot at.
I cannot claim to be the most impassioned and aspirant dreamer without also forging myself as the hardest and most dedicated worker. This I strive for daily.
I realize that I also cannot claim to have faith without stepping out and acting upon it.
To continue the process of financing the trip, I’m asking friends and followers to donate $22 or whatever amount is suitable, be it more or less. All I want for my birthday is to continue living my life to the fullest and furthering the process of fighting for lives worldwide.
