Testimonies of God’s goodness!
The other day the teams were in the park down by the beach. We had different stands set up for different things: free braids, free henna, free spiritual art (prophesying over people through art), free healing, etc etc.
Sasha and Eliza were getting their braids done by some of the girls in our group. When they looked over and saw the “free healing” sign they started talking about it; they’ve had back pain since childhood. My co-leaders and I (Alysa and Sara) were sitting by the sign waiting for them to come over.
When they came over we found out Eliza had been bullied all her life so she kept her head down for years to hide; this caused her spine to grow bent and now gives her lots of pain. Sasha’s body grows faster than her bones, so there’s a lot of space in between her spinal chords which has left her living life with constant pain for years.
When we started praying for Eliza, Alysa and Sara both spoke so much truth over her life. Eliza could feel the love and presence of God in that moment and it was a beautiful thing! Yes she had back pain, but Papa knew she also had emotional pain. It was so cool to see Father give his child the love and care she needed.
We then laid hands on Sasha. I prayed for a new spine in Jesus’ name, and that’s just what God gave her! Sasha turned to us and started crying. All her pain was gone, and through the tears she said “I’ll be able to sleep tonight.” Man God is so good, and He gives life!
We then got to share the gospel with them. Eliza was asking all these questions and was enamored with all that Jesus stands for and brings to the world. She had never prayed before, but after receiving healing and seeing her friend healed, she prayed for her aunt’s infertility to be healed in Jesus’ name. She giggled and was blushing through the prayer; it was adorable to see her unable to stop smiling. We connected them to some locals in the church and they exchanged numbers to further this new development.
Later on that day we saw them again, this time Sasha had sparkly cross earrings on. When we asked about the earrings she said “Jesus sparkled up my life so I figured I could give a little sparkle back.” It was hilarious, and even though it seems small she knows by His stripes she’s been healed (Isaiah 53:5).
There have been so many fruitful conversations and prayers over locals with this squad here in Australia. They long to see everyone come to know Jesus as their savior, and they’re living in a way where that’s their mission. Continue to pray for them as God takes them on this journey. Also be praying for intimacy: we want to lead this group into deeper intimacy with Papa. We believe this is going to be a year these peeps dive deeper in their relationship with the Father and see the overflow take place across the nations. Everything we do flows from our intimacy with God and if we put Him first and foremost, then Holy Spirit is going to work in miraculous ways. “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33
