What a time.
Gosh, when I look back on the past few months of preparation for this world race journey I see the Lord’s hand on every part… and I haven’t even left yet! It has been the craziest time, filled with a solid amount of anxiousness, I’m not going to lie. But filled with even more of the Lord’s faithfulness.
And while I am definitely nervous, I have never been more confident I am right where He intends me to be.
To give a financial update, I have hit the required $10,000 deadline to leave for the World Race Fusion January 6th!!!! So in just 3 weeks I will be saying good bye to the states and hello to the nations!!! Coming up so fast I know…
There have definitely been a few bumps in the road along the way both financially (vaccinations, equipment, other random packing necessities, etc.) and emotionally (I have gone through more emotions in the past month then I knew Ky had, haha! update on that one next post!), but earlier this week there was a lot of inviting my dearest friends and fam into fervent prayer over this trip, my anxious heart, and the funds… and guys there aren’t even words for the ways He has delivered.
Over the past 3 days, my 9Round family has been so generous in their support, raising over $600!! (Not even counting the weeks before that!) And on top of that ladies from my 9Round family have come to me with a plan to help run a fundraiser for me!! — so if you’re free on Sunday December 18th and would like to look at Christmas lights in Deerfield feel free to snag some hot chocolate across from the club house π shameless plug!
My church, Chase Oaks off 75 and Legacy (another shameless plug :)) has also so generously come to me offering to cover the remaining vaccinations recommended for my trip!! — which I have previously been driving to OK to get for cheaper prices, unsure how we were going to cover them all. Over $1,000!! PRAISES guys!!! And not only are they covering them, they’re covering them IN TX!! So I no longer have to make 2 more 6 hour drives in a day!
Goodness gracious guys. I walked into this week pretty anxious about what kind of plans needed to be made to accumulate the funds; but I am walking out of this week not only with provision, but also with so much hope.
So where that leaves us now. As I mentioned earlier I will officially be flying out to Uganda on January 6th!! As I have met the $10,000 fundraising deadline to go on this trip, I still have two more deadlines to meet in order to complete the trip.
My remaining deadlines are $13,000 by February 28th (so $3,000 more) and $16,617 by April 30th ($6,617 more).
As these are deadlines set by the World Race, I am also still fundraising for outside funds like a hiking backpack to last over the next 11 months, a sleeping pad, a sleeping bag to last 30 degree temperatures, and a tent that can be pitched without stakes.
Ways you can help:
If you know anyone who has any of this equipment that they wouldn’t mind allowing me to borrow or purchase from them let me know π
Purchase a “Until the Whole World Hears” fundraising t-shirt, $20 a piece! I have a few left so just let me know if you are interested!

Adopt a box from my Adopt-A-Box fundraiser

Roll out to the hot cocoa stand on Sunday, Dec 18th!!!
I also will be collecting red velvet cake ball orders over the next few weeks – half dozen for $5, a dozen for $8 π

Spread. the. word!!! not only of ways to help, but also spread what the Lord is doing now and throughout the trip.
And finally, PRAY. Man have I gotten to see the power of prayer in the past few months leading up to this. I would love to have you fighting in prayer for the financial provision of my me and my squad mates. For our safety and health. For the people of the nations we are going to, for their hearts to be open and eager. And for the people who get to hear about this journey, that they may share it with others. Also, pray for emotional stability through these last few see ya laters π
I absolutely can’t wait for this journey guys. And I’m so excited that I get to share it with YOU!!!
