Wingapo friends!

For those of you reading what life even looks like halfway around the world:  it mostly looks normal.  We get up, go to ministry, make meals, go to bed.  There’s a lot of worship and prayer involed, but more often than not, life is surprisingly normal.  It’s the little things that are very different. (If you haven’t seen my laundry blog or Ruby Young’s laundry video on facebook, check it out.)  Like meal prep, buying food, preparing food.

Here is a small example of some of the everyday race life struggles:

The other examples of world race struggles include boredom:  that’s right.  Sometimes the crazy adventurous task of traveling 11 countries in 11 months is boring.  If you do it right, it is not, but there are moments when you cannot go out, you’ve read all of your books, you’ve been on a bus for 12 hours, there is no electricity, etc.  In those moments, you (with some help from your fellow teammates) get creative.

Here’s a glimpse of us getting very creative with our entertainment/bonding time:

Bonus points, when you get good at entertaining yourself, it is easier to entertain the scores of kids you meet.

Goodnight from Zambia! Tomorrow we head to Malawi, our last country in Africa.
