Wingapo friends!
This month team Prism (my new team) is doing ministry in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. We’ve officially finished with Asia. We are partnered with Youth for Christ this month. Our average ministry day looks like school visits in the morning and soccer practice in the evening. Zimbabwe is largely Christian, so the emphasis is less on evangelism and more on discipleship.
In case you did not know, I am not athletic (surprise). Doing soccer every day with kids that are incredibly talented and driven with soccer is maybe not my strongest suite of ministry. Most days involve me playing back right defense with everyone making sure the ball does not make it to me. Even so, this ministry is wonderful. I get to laugh at myself; others get to laugh at me. I have a wonderful opportunity to pray over the field as we play. And I get to support my teammates. Jesus is doing cool things in Zimbabwe.
