For the last week and the rest of the month, my team and I are traveling thru Suriname, French Guiana, making our way to Manaus with out any ministry host or contacts. We have to find our way through these countries and stay on a budget.
Our team is growing into its new identity, team Sweet Heat has now become team Remnant.
Here’s God’s word for us,
But now I will not deal with the remnant of this people as I did in the past,” declares the Lord Almighty. “The seed will grow well, the vine will yield its fruit, the ground will produce its crops, and the heavens will drop their dew. I will give all these things as an inheritance to the remnant of this people. Just as you, Judah and Israel, have been a curse among the nations, so I will save you, and you will be a blessing. Do not be afraid, but let your hands be strong.”
Zec 8:11?-?13 NIV
We are walking in our blessings and always on the look out of what the Lord is already doing so we can step closer to His plans and away from our selfish desires.
We arrived into Suriname late night had a place to stay within budget. The next day we spent time asking the Lord where and what he wanted us to do…we ended up at a McDonald (yes I know), well they have free WiFi. That’s where many doors opened up for us. We found lodging for three nights that was five dollars over our budget, so this man Jason offered to pay the difference. Then Raymond, a friend of a man in Colombia, met us and basically toured us around town and connected us with many future ministry opportunity for future world race teams to partner with.
We decided to head to French Guiana on Sunday 9th. We had hope to stay at this free hammock camping spot, but no one seem know where it was and the place we went to was closed. So we landed in Kourou, French Guiana and we’re drop off at the beach, and we’re prepared to spend the night at the beach. But through a series of events and a friendly person we found out that I was not a safe beach to camp on.
Four hours later we are arriving to a family home, who welcome us in and served us french baggot paired with homemade jams and many other amazing food. We were truely blessed by the Clair Family to open their home and we prayed blessings upon them. We cooked them some cheeseburger for dinner one night which they said was better than McDonald’s, I call that a win.
We were blessed with an amazing hiking adventure and to be blessed God’s creation!
God keeps blessing our road trip, we have received, lodging for free, he lined up a bus driver to take us to the boarder then the driver turned into our angel helping us through the various steps of crossing a boarder and he made sure we had a ride to Macapa. God bless our bus driver Bruno.
Remnant Road trip continues stay tuned to see what else God blows us away with.
