Made it to Colombia! Let me say that I am so thankful for this opportunity to serve with World Race and my team and most thankful to serve Jesus!

We started out our month coming alongside YWAM  (Youth with a Mission). YWAM is mission based program with over 100 location across the world. It’s awesome to see here in Cartagena there are many youth that join the program from other countries, Chile, India, Peru, and many others! We have had the chance to serve in many different areas, cleaning rivers, participating in (my first) peaceful protest. So far the best part of this first week, is the chance to get to know the heart of the people here and having the chance to encourage them in their faith.

God blessed me with the chance to talk and encourage one of our leaders, Juan David. One morning we help him in organizing a shed and cleaning up certain areas of the YWAM center. He explain to me that this his job daily and for awhile he needed to complete this take but it was so big for him. With the biggest smile on his face you could tell, although we were all exhausted he was happy that we finished. Making his job easier. God blessed even the simple of prayers for His children. He further shared with me about his father working with an indigenous group, and importance to try and learn the language in order to make a difference.

Making the smallest connection with people is what enhances the kingdom of God. Looking forward  to continuing these friendship and gaining more along the way.
