On December 27, 2016 I was baptized in the Zambezi River, near the base of Victoria Falls.

For a long time I thought I would be baptized in a pool, in a church. When I got accepted on the World Race, the Lord changed that. He began to show me how beautifully symbolic getting baptized in a river could be.

Over the past year I have been seeking the Lord to lead this decision. He has continued to show me why this is was the spot and the time.

Why at Victoria Falls?

Victoria mean “Victory.” Ever since I gave my life to Christ when I was 6, I have continued to find Victory in Jesus.

Why a River?

Rivers are beautiful. The water flows from the north to the south or east to west and will continue to flow until the end of time. If you place something dirty in the river water, its not long before the rushing water takes the dirt away and leaves the item clean.

When we place our lives in the hand of the The Father, He cleans us. He carries away all the bad, ugly, and dirty things. Scripture says “he had cast our sins as far as the east is from the west”-Psalm 103:12.

So today I publicly declared my faith in Zambia.
