This is a true story it’s based on a woman who will be called Brave.

On October 6, 2016 Brave found herself sitting on her Bunk in another European hostel, This time in Burgas, Bulgaria. As she woke that morning she woke up not feeling quite right. She quickly dismissed it as exhaustion from travel, and turned her focus to what her team would be doing this month in Bulgaria. She enjoyed the first day in the city, she got to see the Black Sea, the Port, Lighthouses, and the charming town on the shore. Brave was so excited to be living near the shore.  After she explored the city all day it was time to retire back to her hostel bunk. As she laid there she felt a heaviness come over her. Again she brushed it aside assuming it was just tiredness from the travel.

Brave woke up the next morning sweating and was unable to move in her bed. She quickly thought she had been tied up and was being held hostage. As she moved her head about she noticed that there where no physical ropes binding her. She laid on her bunk confused as to why she could not move. She continued to fight the weight and eventually sat herself up. When she sat up she understood what was happening. Nearly a year and half ago Brave found herself in a spiritual warfare attack, as she sat on the bunk that day she was reminded so much of the pain and weight that she had felt the last time. Brave knew without hesitation that the enemy was fighting for her life right now. Brave’s name fits her so perfectly, she is strong and brave, she can do anything because of the faith she has. Knowing all of this Brave thought there was no reason to tell the other 6 girls around her. No, Brave was strong enough to get through this alone.

As the hours passed, Brave found herself unable to move, she sat on her bunk shaking and having an inward battle as to whether or not she should tell her team she was feeling this way. She kept saying, “I’m Brave and I can fight this on my own” she told herself over and over again. After much back and forth Brave knew she needed help. The team was busily working about the room. So to be heard Brave would have to reach deep within her for every last inch of strength she had to get their attention.  Before she could blink 12 hands were on Brave,12 eyes crying , 6 voices began to beg the Lord to save Brave’s soul from the enemy. Before Brave laid down her head that night she felt the heaviness and attack dwindle. Being so emotionally exhausted she fell right to sleep that night.

As the month continued Brave felt like she was working to fix the wounds that were in her heart.Through it all Brave has had people who have cared for her, encouraged her, and loved her even in her darkest moments. Though she is still recovering from the event of October 6; Brave is pushing to hear the Lords voice and what He wants her to do with her life.

Brave felt like this month was full of darkness. But when her leadership team asked her to spend 1/2 day in quiet she realised how beautiful the month really was.

This is the real life of a World Racer. Its not all fun and games. No. For a lot of people they are being broken and rebuilt over and over again. Please continue to keep people on the race in your prayers. The enemy does not want Racers in these countries and so we are having to fight real battles daily.
