I should of done this blog so long ago but I figured a lot of people might wonder who the rest of my leadership team is!! Im so blessed with these wonderful people and it’s time I share them with the world!! Enjoy!
Jodi- is our fearless Squad Mentor! She lives in Gainesville, Georgia and works at Adventures In Missions. She is ultimately over the squad and everything that in-tales. She is a team mate for the Squad Leaders and Coaches! She does weekly phones calls with us checking in on our emotional, physical and spiritual state! Jodi is loving, kind, honest, intentional, determined and all around beautiful! She desires to serve and love Q squad and it’s leadership the best way she can! She values others and their opinions and makes everyone feel seen and heard!
Things she likes: Dr.Pepper, coffee, dogs, sushi, thai tea and her nieces and nephews.
Doug and Renee Duffy- They are our Squad Coaches! Squad Coaches are a married couple that have a heart for missions and disciplining, and disciple from wherever they live in the states! Coaches fly out for debriefs for a week every few months! They help Jodi manage and make decisions for the squad! They also help Jodi disciple and pour out to the ones on the field! Every squad has a set of coaches, but Q Squad got lucky and our coaches live in Costa Rica so we got to spend the first 3 months doing life with them and learning from them! The Duffy’s are funny, kind, loving, intentional, caring and they have the biggest hearts! They desire to see the squad grow and they have the biggest hearts for missions and the lost and broken! Also they are the funniest, cutest, most adorable couple ever! Oh and did I say the funniest!!
Renee likes: Coke (occasionally), her grandkids, Doug, serving the people around her and the sunshine. She is also the bomb when it comes to baking, cooking and sewing! She is very talented!
Doug likes: meat, sushi, Renee, fishing and his grandkids
Fellow Squad Leaders (same as me): we help with the on the field things! So we travel with the squad the entire 9 months discipling and pouring out! We are the on the field support making a lot of day to day decisions and communicating with the mentor and coaches! We oversee the teams underneath coaches and mentor and are teammates to Jodi and the Duffy’s!
Kevin- we did the race together in 2016 and now I get the pleasure of Squad Leading with him! Kevin is intentional, kind, loving, honest, real and has childlike faith! He is a natural born speaker! He can get up in front of a room and talk and people just love him! He keeps a group laughing!
What he loves: coffee, meat, reading, deep talks and superhero’s!
Emily- she just got off the field from her race the end of August! She was home 12 days y’all and left to squad lead Gap Year! She has handled leaving home again so quickly with so much grace and reliance on the Lord! She makes me laugh til I almost pee daily, she is kind, soft spoken (until she laughs), loving, intentional and sees the positive in everything! She desires to get to know the squad more, loves writing through poetry, supports my ideas and always willing to lend a hand!
She loves: a good latte, slow days, poetry, trail mix and writing!
I have been so honored to lead along side these beautiful people! They have impacted my life more than they will ever know!! They bring me constant laughter and joy, constantly point me to the Lord and support everything I do! They are the best!!
