I’ve just completed my first Training Camp in my new role and these are my people:

I have the privilege of leading 24 incredible humans who are about to embark on, possibly, the most impactful year of their lives thus far. They are passionate. They are hungry. They are bold. They are ready to take on the things the Lord has for them this year.

I can’t wait to journey with them, support them, encourage them, challenge them, and see what the Lord produces in and through them.

I get to lead them alongside seven alumni who have already done this thing well – at least once. I don’t have a picture of them yet because they’re still scattered around the globe doing incredible things.

I also get to lead with this fabulous couple:

John and Renee love well and love hard. They have so much wisdom and experience to impart to me and to our squad.

As I step into this new role, I feel the weight of responsibility that I carry as I shepherd the people the Lord has entrusted to me. At times I feel like I’m in over my head, I don’t know what I’m doing and I am operating out of my league.

Some of that is true, but the bigger truth is that the Lord has brought me into this new season with new responsibility and new opportunities because He has an incomprehensible plan that I can’t see yet. He has things to show me and teach me that I wouldn’t learn in another setting or context.

I am, at times, apprehensive, but mostly, I’m excited to see more of His goodness!

I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!

Psalm 27:13-14
