I watched the sun rise for the last time in Europe a few days ago. I witnessed some of the most beautiful sunrises in each of the four countries I had the opportunity to serve in and visit… On the plane ride to Istanbul, where we boarded a flight for Malaysia, I got a little misty. What a gift these three months have been!!!
A few days ago, my teammate Marissa and I woke up before 6 am to hike to the tallest point of the city. 42 degrees, wind chill of below freezing. Florida girl can’t hang y’all. But when as I stood at the top, I truly felt my heart overflowing, and my eyes. What a gift, a true treasure, it is to serve The Almighty God who is capable of ALL things and somehow (for some reason) chooses typical people to do amazing things for His glory and His Kingdom.
If I had known that my “yes” would have taken me to where He has, allowed me to meet who the Race has, allowed hearts to hear Jesus’ goodness and accept Him as savior as our time here in Europe has- I would have given my “yes” a long time ago. Sometimes (but really all the time) saying “yes” to the unknown that God is leading you into is scary. But I promise you, it’s worth it!

We have arrived safely to Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia! We are currently serving refugees that were affected by the recent flooding that Penang saw. We are sorting through donations and delivering them to neighboring refugee camps. It’s incredibly beautiful and humbling. Please be praying for the rain to hold off until some of the water has resided. The waters are bringing sewage, trash and more into their homes.
This month we are working in a predominantly Muslim country. We hear their call to prayer song several times a day. We see people burning incense, seeing songs in their languages, we have seen grown adults bow down in the street when the call to prayer begins… Please be praying that we can share Jesus with everyone we meet, if not through our words than our actions!
Here’s to being light and love to all we meet!
