There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that I am a sinner. I have sinned, will sin and will wrestle with sin until God calls me Home. Lucky for me, the work of my reconciliation with my Heavenly Father is complete. The ‘I’s are dotted and the ‘T’s are crossed. Jesus took not just my sins but ALL sin. “For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” 2 Corinthians 5:21.
If I had to work my way to heaven or adhere to the Law by my own virtue; I would be a lost soul, bound for nothing but misery and despair. BUT, this is not the plan of the Father. Jesus has come and HE IS RISEN! And we have the Holy Spirit that abides in us. I find these major blessings are taken the most for granted. The fact that a lousy sinner like me gets a relationship with the Creator of the Universe and has the opportunity to be God’s hands and feet is simply overwhelming. Equally overwhelming is the support that has been given to me by my amazing community. At this point in time, I am about 40% of the way toward my goal. Thank you to everyone that has supported me and those that will and of course, my prayer warriors. Y’all are such a blessing to me and an affirmation that this is the route that God has planned for me.
I leave you with one of my favorite verses Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
He loves us warts and all.
