So it has been a rather long time since I have written a blog, or updated anyone on life. So here I go.
I recently (yesterday) got back from Denver, CO where I was a collegiate facilitator for Western National Roundup. Many people come to this 4-H and FFA conference from across the country. I personally got to help with the livestock judging contest part of Roundup. At the end of the week we got to explore Denver and go to the National Western Stock Show, where we sat in massage chairs and watched alpacas go through an agility course. This week has been full of little sleep, hard work, new friends, and lots of fun.
By lots of fun, I mean one night the group of collegiate facilitators ate at this restaurant. Inside is more like theme park including the line, I seriously felt like I was in line at Disney. It seats 1100 people inside where workers cliff dive while you eat. Its for the experience, not the food! If your in Denver you need to go, but get the kids chicken strips.
Now that I am back in Knoxville, I start my last semester of college tomorrow. Those words are extremely intimidating to me. This time tomorrow I will be swimming in syllabuses and homework, and that is something that I am not looking forward to. For some reason, I just really am not ready for this semester to begin. Soon I will be knee deep in caps and gowns, graduation announcements, and the end of college. While most of my friends are having interviews for jobs or vet school, I’ve already been through a series of interviews. This series of interviews happened before I started school last semester and now I am fundraising.
Fundraising update: I currently have $3,587 raised and in my world race account. This puts me at being 20% funded and $13,774 away from being fully funded.
As always please keep my fellow racers and I in your prayers as we are fundraising and preparing for this journey.
