Ever been asked for money and your first thoughts are “Where is it going?” “What’s it going to be used for?” “Is it really going to a good cause?” “Is it really going to make an impact?” These fears, if we give them power, can hold us back from blessings, and being a blessing onto others.
“There is no fear in LOVE”- your generous donations are not being pulled into a black hole!
I have scanned the web (The World Race Facebook page, to be exact) to seek out pictures from past World Racers who have been led by Christ and the Holy Spirit to share the gospel to the lost, give hope to the weary, and make an impact on this world that is lasting and most importantly reflects the love of God.
I hope you enjoy and get a glimpse of some of the work that I may also have the chance to witness on my trip, again leaving in just 4 short months! (January 2016) I can’t believe it! And seeing these photos only fueled my fire for evangelism and serving! Remember these photos take place at numerous locations across the world and are different tasks that I lumped into similar categories but also may be day to day activities, teaching, going to orphanges, chores, rebuilding, church services, and sharing the love of God simply through smiles and laughs!

So as you can now see, these pictures just scratch the surface of the stories that lay beneath them. The lives that were saved, the love that was shared and the impact that will continue to ripple long after photos are taken. God likes to work quietly and sometimes unseen. His timing is not always our timing and his plan not always what we had imagined. Though fundraising $17,000 was not on my “Top 10” things to try before I died, God for sure had it in His plans all along.
The black hole of the unknown, of our fears, suddenly seems lighter and brighter as we put more and more of our faith in God. For only Gods light can shine in the darkness and not be overcome (1 John 1:5) Do not be afraid that your donations are going into a black hole. Along side with Jesus we’ve all now partnered to jump right in >> into the darkness to bring the light and knowledge of salvation to those “who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, in order to guide our feet into the way of peace.” (Luke 1:79)
