Hello hello
From Bulgaria the place of kindness and beauty. First I am doing well traveling from city to city. Living in a big city and experiencing new things that God has created! I will share a few testimony’s and how i see Bulgaria and their people.
?? By noon i finally arrived to the train station, I had said my good byes to Erica. She left in the morning and was on her way back home. I was alone ready to travel and go to another country. I went and bought a ticket to Sofia(the capital city) next I waited at Mcdonald’s planning my next day events. Booking a hostel and finding out the embassy’s location. Soon I was on the train, reading and listening to a passenger speaking English. I listened and found out he was a Romanian and an archaeologist. However he soon talked about his hate for gypsies, such bitterness he had, truly sad to hear his thoughts. The train was long and soon I arrived and made camp at the hostel.
?? Couple days later I find myself stuck at a mall no place to stay and no where to go. I started to talk to Brian and share my predicament. He said find a place to stay and call it a night. Going online searching and searching, I find a place and off I went, the taxi driver was nice and soon I arrived to a hostel. A lady welcomed me in bringing me tea and said I could have a seat. She still needed time to get my bed ready. I take a seat in the kitchen and start watching the tv. A man is cheering for the bulgarian soccer team. Soon we are talking and i find out his name is Radoslav and he is a professional table tennis player. “I had to go see him and watch him play.” The next day he said he had practice, so I asked if I could join him. He said yes! The morning was great and I was able to admire what the human body can do and control such a small ball. The story doesn’t end there. I told him how i was going east and he talked about how he was going east I soon had a ride and a friend to talk to going to Plovdiv! How blessed of an experiment, I hope and plan on seeing him next week!
?? The last week, past 8 days I have had the privilege to know two great christians Yavor and Petko. They opened their apartment up to me for a couch to sleep on. We did so much together. Yavor graduating from a college in new york having great English and makes videos. He has a passion for growing and a real gift of hospitality. I enjoyed our conversation we had about being single and older. Petko is a man of joy and laughter. A serious fellow also and a gift of being bold he can start up any conversation with any person. And he is not afraid to tell a woman they are a sausage or have me agree that they are a sausage. Guess I cant agree with everything he says. These guys were great and a blessing to spend time with. Another local friend I got to know was Viki she had a gift to teach and to be compassionate. She showed me around town helped me learn words and complained when I forgot them. One thing that she does is monthly work on her sign language. A way she acknowledges people and is ready to serve God.
?? Other high lites of the week was meeting more locals in Bible study, prayer night, youth worship night, church, dinners and lunches. I was also with Amys team a team that challenged me to grow on my communication. As a team we got to clean office, climb hills, have dinner with locals, shop for clothes, play twister and I was able to hear what god was doing with their life!
?? Hope your caught up there are so many stories, I thank you for your prayer and hearing my walk with god.
