I can’t believe that today is Christmas Eve and I am only 10 days away from embarking on a journey that will flip my world upside down and bring every emotion through me in so many ways. Just the journey to get here today has been incredible. God has shown His love and faithfulness time and time again throughout this process. Two months ago I was in a place of confusion and doubt. Did God really want me to go this year on the World Race? Was I supposed to leave in January 2016 as planned or would I be called to wait until a little later down the road? I was seeing new people on my route constantly and then I would see more and more be called to wait and leave at a different time. Was that going to be me? With only about $5,000 raised and 2 months left until my December deadline, what was I going to do? So I prayed, and prayed, and prayed and prayed about it. I had a handful of people praying with me over such a large decision. What would all my supporters think? Would they be disappointed? What about my new friends that I had started to grow close to? What about my family and friends? What about my boyfriend? Would they all hate me if I waited? Would they understand and support me? These are the things that were a constant on my brain.
Fast forward 2 months later… God has provided every penny needed. Just at the right time He called the right people to give generously without question. He provided every financial need possible for me to make my deadline. And not just my 2nd deadline. He has provided the money to meet my 3 deadline coming up in February and He is continuing to provide the rest. But that’s not even the best part. We all know that He has an endless bank account and can make money go where needed when He chooses and in His timing. To go along with that, He has provided everything from all the medicine I need to every piece of equipment I would need for the race. He is an incredible and all-loving God that has called me to something amazing and because of that, I will be obedient and go where He leads me.
I can’t wait to meet my squad and embark on this journey with them. In just 10 short days and 2 holidays, I will be on my way to Thailand and start the process of loving on others that I never in a million years thought I would be loving on. I will meet beautiful girls that have had to work 10x’s harder than I ever have and handsome little boys with toothless smiles and a lot of love in their hearts. I am so stoked to see what God will be teaching me this next year and trust me when I say that I will definitely share it with you all!! We have currently raised $12,941 for this trip, BUT we still have $3,421 needed in order for me to be fully funded. Donations through this site are tax deductible and will be used to place me in areas around the world where I can share the love of Christ with those who need Him desperately. Out of all the things I am excited about, I am most excited to be able to take a part of each of my sponsors with me to share the gospel and the love of Christ with people all over the world!
