My reaction? Fury. Sadness. Bitterness. Shock.

God’s reaction? Love.

We were given these statistics within the first couple days of arriving in Chiang Mai, Thailand, along with an intro of how to act in bar ministry, info on culture, language lessons, and then we watched a video on sex trafficking. Chiang Mai is one of the most busy hubs of sex trafficking. Red light districts everywhere. Ladyboys and prostitutes walking down the streets. Advertisements for prostitution. This is normal, accepted, advertised.

So with all of that info my team started our first week of ministry here. We were doing 2 hours of intercessory prayer, attending monk chats, and visiting the local children’s slums.

It was hard. There were spiritual attacks. It was easier to find the negative than the positive most days.

But the good news is God is at work here. We are the light in this dark place. We are serving God and honoring Him with our ministry. We are trusting that we will leave the seed and that it will grow into fruit.

Pray for Chiang Mai. Pray for N Squad. Pray for the faithful servants who have committed their life to The Lords calling in Thailand.
