To the fierce lioness ladies of team R.O.A.R.

I’ll never forget our last team building exercise at training camp. It was an absolute mess. When we walked away from our failed attempt at prioritizing things that need to be done when you’re in a plane crash, the last thing we wanted was to be placed on a team together. But God had better plans for us. We quickly learned that one of the few things we could be sure to agree on was chocolate. Team R.O.A.R. has always done better when there’s chocolate involved.

Thank you ladies for bringing out those things that I hate about myself and bringing up past hurts. You gave me no option but to face my problems. Living in constant community tends to bring up those things in yourself that you’ve been avoiding for years. It’s been painful and it hasn’t always been fun.

We’ve had our ups and downs, that’s for sure. There were days when we all felt like we couldn’t go on. But we’ve also had our victories and I wouldn’t change a thing.

I want you to know that I’m proud of each and every one of you. You’ve all grown so much in the last 4 months. Our growth is a testament to God’s grace and faithfulness. It’s been painful at times, but we’ve come through it stronger. Tomorrow we have team changes and none of us know what is going to happen. Regardless of how things turn out tomorrow I want you all to know that I have been beyond blessed to spend the last 4 months with you.

Thank you for beginning this process of being Renewed On Abba’s River with me. I can’t wait to see what God has for each of is in the next 7 months of this Race.
