Starting in September I will be spending 11 months traveling to Haiti, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Cambodia, sharing the love of my Savior! Over the next year and a half I will be using this blog to keep everyone updated on my fundraising efforts and eventually the happenings while on the mission field.
The total cost of going on The World Race is $16,250. I know it looks like a lot of money (and it is!), but I am a firm believer that where God calls, God provides. When you really think about all that it includes though (1 week of training, housing, flights, international insurance and food; for 11 Months!), it really is reasonable! In order to leave for the race I will need to have raised $7,500 by the second week in August, and the full $16,250 will need to be raised by March 1st of 2015.
This opportunity is a huge answer to prayer! For awhile now, I’ve been praying for God to provide a way for me to serve Him on a deeper level. While on The Race I will have the opportunity to share Christ with people from all walks of life. My team and myself will have the opportunity to work in orphanages, teach English in schools, reach out in communities by partnering with churches in church building and local outreach, mentoring at risk youth and working with victims of human trafficking.
I’m so blessed to have this opportunity and I hope that as I take this leap of faith that you would partner with me in prayer! My prayer for this missions trip is that my team and myself would be able to effectively and boldly share the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone we come in to contact with. I pray that we would, through Christ, bring hope to the hopeless.
Also, I ask that you would prayerfully consider donating to the financial aspect of this trip. If you would like to make a donation, just click the ‘Support Me’ link and follow the prompts.
