I am about to fly to India to meet the squad I have been leading this past year. I haven’t seen them in 2 months and I am excited to be seeing them in a few days! You may have seen many pictures of them that I have posted on Facebook throughout the year, but I wanted to share more about them.
There were many days where I saw their best and many days I saw their worst. Some days I focused on their good and some days on their bad. One of my regrets was not pointing out the good in them more often because they are full of so much GOLD. I remember getting to know them at the beginning and I saw so much greatness in them, but over time my eyes shifted to the momentary trials of every day life. I lost my focus on what truly matters. H squad is compiled of amazing sons and daughters of God who are seeking out the more of God and His Kingdom. They have taught me so much about the Kingdom and I have been transformed by their involvement in my life.
Natalie is my co-leader. She is an strong woman of God with mad administrative skills. She is an awesome encourager and comforter. She always has wise things to share and is very humble despite her great wisdom. She loves deeply and is always willing to walk the hard road with people. If I would describe Natalie in one word it would be “Boss”.
Charles is a mighty, warrior, leader with a huge heart. He has the capacity to lead not just 10’s and 100’s, but one day, 1000’s and 10,000’s. He is bold, fierce, courageous. He is probably the most disciplined man I know and His devotion to being a student of the Kingdom is inspiring. If I would describe Charles in one word it would be “Stout-Hearted”.
Lydia is a beautiful, pure, free spirited daughter of God. She walks in intimacy with the Father and has a desire to pass that on to others. She loves kids of all ages and I believe she will lead many kids to Christ in her life time. If I would describe Lydia in one word it would be “Free”.
Amy is a vibrant, JOYful, administrative wiz! She has taught us all about choosing joy in whatever circumstance. She goes to the source of Joy with arms wide open and receives enough for herself and everyone around. Her excitement for adventure is contagious and her photography skills are on point. If I would describe Amy in one word it would be “Exuberant”.
John-Morgan is a lover. He loves God, people, himself, life, adventure and whatever else there is out there to love. He is an amazing leader with so much wisdom to give to others. He is willing to lay his life down for Jesus and surrender all to His Lordship. If I would describe Josh-Morgan in one word it would be “Humble”.
Shannon is a sweet, tender-hearted, child of God. She has a beautiful smile and a warm, peaceful presence. She most often gets positive feedback for her servants heart. She demonstrates to us joyfully the Servant Heart of God and is always ready to help others needs and wants. She loves kids and animals a lot and gets her hands dirty constantly to play with one or the other. If I would describe Shannon in one word it would be “Benevolent”.
Lukas is a furious, warrior, man of God. He loves truth and desires all people to come to the truth. He is very adventurous and always will take you up on a challenge. He is a man of extremes and desires to build Gods Kingdom. If I would describe Lukas in one word it would be “Passionate”.
Destiny is an amazing servant and question asker. She asks deep questions to know people better, and as a result, the people know themselves better too. She has mad dance skills and is a very generous person. Her Bible knowledge is awesome and she loves to seek truth. If I would describe Destiny in one word it would be “Inquisitive”.
Kevin is a man of mystery. He is our oldest member and is always giving us wise advise from his experiences. He has a very gentle soul and is on an amazing journey with God. He is (in my opinion) the funniest person on our squad and always makes us laugh. If I would describe Kevin in one word it would be “Witty”.
Erin is a strong, confident and determined woman of God. She has an awesome voice and loves to lead the squad into the presence of God in worship. She is great at encouraging others and is an amazing artist. If I would describe Erin in one word it would be “Assured”.
Corry is a loyal leader. He is a generous giver and loves to meet peoples needs. He has a gift of discernment and sees people really well. He is good at celebrating and has so much to celebrate in his life this year. He has challenged me and encouraged me personally a lot because of his willingness to speak the hard truths. If I would describe Corry in one word it would be “Revolutionist”.
Abbie is a joyful, compassionate, encouraging leader. She looks out for people and always has her friends back. She loves to seek truth is full of Biblical wisdom. She asks great questions and pursues the fullness of God. If I would describe Abbie in one word it would be “Bright”.
Josh is a smart, brave, righteous man after God’s own heart. He is an incredible writer and is going to write books that inspire many. He is always ready for an adventure, both physically or spiritually. He is very knowledgeable and has fresh, wise, advise to bless others with. If I would describe Josh in one word it would be “Daring”.
Alexis is everyone’s favorite. She is the closest we have to a hipster on our squad. She loves essential oils, new music, tattoos and piercings. She is a talented musician and works great with humans of all ages. She is an amazing servant and encouragement to the squad and the world. She is so hungry for God and will go to great lengths to seek Him. If I would describe Alexis in one word it would be “Lion-Hearted”.
Tomas is my Canadian bro and punster in crime. He is gentle and fierce. Quiet and loud. He is like the energizer bunny and has a strange amount of energy most the time. He is an amazing evangelist and brings people into knowing who their Father is. He has a great relationship with God and hears Him so well. He is always willing to go on an adventure and lay his own agenda down for the sake of God and others. If I would describe Tomas in one word it would be “Zealous”.
Bethany is a fun, red headed, woman of God. She cares deeply for people and always has a listening ear ready to absorb all you have to say. She is a nurse by trade, but it’s who she is as a person as well. She brings healing to people’s hearts as she shepherds them towards God. If I would describe Bethany in one word it would be “Sweet”.
Roxanna is Mexican intercessor who loves people so deeply. She has a heart for the 10/40 window and reaching people who have never heard the gospel before. Her laugh is loud and her joy is contagious. She asks great questions and is very mature. If I would describe Roxanna in one word it would be “Latina”.
Kelsey is a very well rounded woman of God. She has a passion for truth and studying scripture, as well as seeking the presence of God in whatever circumstance. Her job back home is to cut and style hair and make people look good. I believe she does that in a spiritual sense too when she ministers to peoples lives, she makes them look good. If I would describe Kelsey in one word it would be “Kind”.
Amanda is a crazy lady. Err… a crazy awesome lady! She is such a fun, wild, knowledge seeking, Jesus loving, woman of God. From battling wits to goofing around, she is always a pleasure to be around. She’s one of the best evangelists I know and has an amazing ability to break past cultural walls and love a person where they are at. If I would describe Amanda in one word it would be “Achiever”.
Luke is the worst. He smells funny and always gets in trouble. Just kidding. Luke is awesome. He is gentle, warm hearted, and friendly. He is very hungry for more of God and has grown significantly in his few years of knowing Jesus. If I would describe Luke in one word it would be “Loyal”.
Chelsea is a powerful, exciting, dangerous (in a good way) daughter of God. She is full of so much knowledge of the Kingdom and not just head knowledge. She has experienced so much in ministry around the world and is a force to be reckoned with. She is a warrior made to battle the enemy and take back what they have stolen. If I would describe Chelsea in one word it would be “Fierce”.
Emily is super cool. She probably won’t like that I used this picture, but that’s okay. She was born is South Korea and raised in America. She knows lots of cool hip hop artists, has tattoos, beanie, septum piercing, essential oils and other cool person things. She is a leader and a voice to this generation. If I would describe Emily in one word it would be “Delightful”.
