My last blog I talked about God’s provision over my time in the States in July. This blog I want to share about how God not only has been providing for me, but also sustaining me and my stuff. He is so good and I can’t help but share! Psalm 54:4 says, “Surely God is my help; the Lord is the One who sustains me.”
Over the past 2.5 years I travelled to 21 different countries and ate food of many sorts. For people who have traveled with me (or if they’ve seen videos or pictures), know that I love to be adventurous with my food choices. I’ve eaten beetles, crickets, spiders, dog, horse and other animals that aren’t commonly eaten in North America. But over this time, I have never gotten sick from food. In fact, the worse I ever had was a cold. God sustained my body by keeping it healthy the whole time!
When I travel, I carry almost all my earthly possessions with me. I heard once to cover my possessions in the blood of Jesus, so I pray that prayer often for my stuff to never get stolen or damaged. For the whole time I was travelling, nothing was ever stolen or damaged.
When the Israelites travelled in the wilderness for 40 years, God was gracious and sustained their clothes for 40 years! I believe God did this with my stuff too. Not quite 40 years, but your gear goes through a lot when you use it daily and travel everywhere with it. My gear and clothes have lasted and are still in great shape.
My iPod touch has made it 3.5 years. And even though I’m a huge believer in Apple products, I believe it was God that made this one last. There are hardly even scratches and I used it every single day!
So it’s amazing when God provides things like gear, electronics, clothes, healing, etc… but I want to point out that it is also amazing when God sustains your body and possessions and keeps them in great shape. Just like it was a miracle for God to sustain the Israelites clothes in the desert for 40 years, it is a miracle what God has done with my stuff and I give Him all the glory and praise!
I also want to thank all my friends and family who have donated/purchased many of the things I used these past few years. I had so many things bought for me and I am so grateful for your generosity! My experience was that much greater because of these things!
I am still not fully funded yet and need to be Fully Funded by September 30. I have an opportunity to meet up with my squad in Morocco for their final debrief and get to pour into them before they return back to the States for the re-entry stage of the Race. I would love if you would partner with me in this. I am currently $3478 away from being fully funded. As well as the trip to Morocco will cost $1500 which I need by October 15.
You can make a donation via credit card on this blog, or if you are Canadian and want a tax receipt, you can message me for details on that. Thank you so much!
