When you’re living a nice comfortable life in the States, it is easy to push aside all of the stuff within yourself that isn’t all that pretty. You can doll yourself up with pretty makeup and fancy clothes and keep the stone within your heart safely manicured and guarded. At least that is how it was for me. I never realized that my heart was actually fully of selfish motives and cowardice instead of courage. This month, Month 2, of my race was great. Ministry was really good, and I loved getting to know so many little faces. However, this month was more about my heart that I ever could have thought possible. This month was hard. This month was full of high emotions and heavy hearts. The Lord has done so much in me this month that I couldn’t even begin to process though in one simple blog post. He is teaching me the true satisfaction of abiding in him. I never would have thought I had so much to relearn. I never would have thought that I had so much resistance to true dependence on my Heavenly Father, but The Lord is faithful! He is good, and he is so sure to meet us right where we need him most…where we are at! This month has also been a month of breakthrough! It has been a month of revelation of lies both new and old. It has been a month of seeing God show up in my life, in the little things and in the big. I am so thankful that I serve a loving, living God who is so very faithful in never letting us stay stagnant. He is good all the time! Where are some areas that you are struggling? What are some thought patterns that seem to be on repeat? God is so excited to come into those places and work alongside you to bring freedom, restoration, and life! All you have to do is ask! Trust me, it’s worth it! 🙂 (If you want to know more details about what God has been doing in my life this month, feel free to email me at [email protected]. I would love to share!)

P.S. A blog about our ministry next month is coming up shortly (Like now because this is the only time I know for sure I will have internet before leaving, ha)

Here are some fun pictures of our day off visiting the ruins of Chan Chan and the Sun Moon temple!
