Two days from now, I will be crowded on a bus with at least 45 complete strangers to head off to the middle of nowhere Georgia. To most people, that would sound horrible, panicky even. For me, however, it is the most exciting thing in the world.

You see, two days from now, I will be on my way to World Race Training Camp!!! It seems so unreal.  It has been almost a year and a half since The Lord told me that I would be going on the World Race, so for it all to finally be unfolding feels like a dream come true.  It has been very hard for it to feel real as I go about my daily life working, going to school, and following my same routine.  Two days, however, is very hard to ignore.

I get to meet the people who I have never met but fallen madly in love with! These 50 people already feel like (f)amily. I’ve laughed with them, cried with them, strategized with them.  I am so excited to finally meet them (& probably hug-tackle them)!

Training camp is something that AIM does a really good job of keeping a secret.  Even alumni friends don’t have much to say about it other than, “It’s amazing” and “hahaha get ready”.  So I honestly have no idea what to expect. Not a clue. I officially have no expectations other than I am sure it will be a week of falling deeper in love with each brother and sister on this trip!

 Will there be laughter? Yes.

Crying? Probably.

Gross food? maybe.

I don’t know.

What I do know is that it is starting to finally feel real. I am going to training camp this week and then a month after that we will be gone. I can’t help but feel like I am about ready to fall off the side of a cliff into the most amazing, exciting, and life-changing adventure yet! Ready or not, here it comes!

Stay tuned: I will post an update of training camp that is sure to include pictures, thoughts, and possibly even videos of the crazy week that lies ahead!
