12. I work at Moe’s and I love it(do they have those everywhere? It’s like Chipotle or Salsarita’s but better than either of them). I really sort of hate that I have to quit in July.
13. If God were to call me to full time missions, I’d rather him send me to a remote jungle than to Boston or anywhere else in New England.
14. But, though I hate the city of Boston, I do love the Red Sox. And have since I was a kid. The only reason I will ever go back to Boston is if I get a chance to go to a game.
15. Someday I’m going to lick the Liberty Bell.
16. My favorite show is How I Met Your Mother, but you could probably already tell that because of #15 above.
17. As much as I love TV, I won’t miss it on the Race. TV makes me happy when I’m lonely or bored, or sick of studying, but I forget about it when I’m with people or doing actually fulfilling things.
18. I will however miss ice cream…and Moe’s…and homemade waffles…in ways, I’ll miss food more than I’ll miss my family, because I can always Skype them, but there’s no way I can eat Chick-fil-A until I get back.
19. I’m more excited about ministering to teenage prostitutes than I am about hugging orphans. Not that I don’t love kids(I worked at a summer camp for six years, for crying out loud), and I am really really looking forward to helping them too…they just don’t break my heart quite as much.
20. My favorite color is purple. Half of everything I own is purple. Sometimes I buy random little things just because they’re purple, like this random notecard case I found at Walmart when all the back-to-school sales were going on; but that one was a good idea, because when I decided I needed to fill it with something, I made flashcards to teach me Spanish for the first four countries my squad will be in.
21. I’m adventurous and competitive, and dangerously spontaneous. Which is why it’s a good thing that I’ll have 45 people with me on the Race, because if left to my own devices in a foreign country I’d probably get myself killed within a week.
22. The best way to make me smile is to surprise me.
