When I left for the Race I knew I was getting a tattoo. I have never felt personally convicted of the tattoo that I already have or about my plans for future tattoos. For every tattoo I get I knew it as a worship to my Father as well as a way to share the gospel. But I would really like YOU TO DECIDE on whether I should get a tattoo or not.
I am still needing $4,900 to be able to finish the last 6 months of the World Race. I need all funds by December 31, 2014. I am going to make this a fundraiser out of this. But first! Here are my conclusions on getting a tattoo that I would like you to consider along with whatever else you feel:
While it is true, the law of the Old Testament was against tattoos (just as it was against braiding of hair and eating of pork), it is also true that Jesus came to set us free from the confines of the law ("Everything is permissible, not everything is beneficial"). However the New Testament, also states that as Christians, we should avoid anything that makes our brothers and sisters stumble in their Christian walk (like getting a tattoo for instance).
