Imagine being the first Christian in a country who has followed the teachings of the Qur'an for its entire history.
Imagine being a citizen of a country that was once a bloodbath 15 years prior.
Imagine forming a country who strives to be free from it's oppressors and yet not everyone will recognize you.
Imagine being known as a Roma (political correct term for Gypsy) and being shunned from every public area.
Imagine being pressured to follow teachings that your family has lived by for generations when you long for more.
Imagine not being able to talk about what you are passionate for because of fear of being shunned from society.
Imagine being a woman in a village full of men who tell you how you you're supposed to act.
Imagine living in a house full of your own garbage because your mom refuses to throw 'valuables' away.
Imagine waking up to constant sickness because there is no possible way to get the healthcare needed.
Imagine having to live the rest of your life with a stump because of a punishment from the war.
Imagine not being able to get food for your child all because of the section of the city you live in.
PESSIMISM
The Optimistic View:
Imagine being the first Christian in a country and having your family be the ones to bring God into a Muslim filled country!
Imagine teaching your children about the war 15 years ago and how we have healed from it!
Imagine forming a country that has never been free from it's oppressors and is soon to be recognized by the entire world!
Imagine being a Gypsy and showing everyone how your people have persevered for over 1,500 years!
Imagine bringing your entire family to know Christ!
Imagine showing your country what Love really is!
Imagine standing up to the men in your city and showing them what amazing things women can do for that city!
Imagine showing your mom what is truly valuable in your home!
Imagine receiving the healing that God has for you when you don't have any healthcare!
Imagine persevering how you can live with just one arm after standing up for your country!
Imagine receiving the help you need from Christ-like followers who just want to love you!
Perspective. It's your choice on how you view something.
Are you going to see how difficult life is OR are you going to see how great life is?
Life full of death, sickness, and despair OR life full of love, hope, and possibilities?
What's your choice? I know mine.
