First I want you to check out this video about CGA from people who did the program: http://vimeo.com/64859277
A little back story:
What I have done is this journey called the World Race which was an 11 month missions trip to 11 different countries and on this journey the Lord opened my eyes and my heart to so much! But he showed me my calling and that is to help people step into the greatness that the Lord has written on their lives through using their gifts and abilities that God has anointed on their lives. On the Race I got to team lead for 8 months on the trip and while I learned and grew so much I feel like I need some help still. Through much prayer and thought into it I applied to Center for Global Action (CGA) and will be going in January.
“Why do you need CGA to help you do your calling?”
When I thought about exactly why I wanted to do CGA at first I was really unsure of why exactly. I’ll admit I thought it was because it was a good choice, it gave me something to do and a good time to relax after a year away overseas. As I continued to pray and seek the Lord about it I came to realize that the reason I want to do CGA is because while I feel confident in my leading abilities I personally feel like I need to grow more confident in my spiritual giftings. I have grown tremendously in them, but I honestly feel God pushing me towards this next step in my journey so that He can ultimately reveal so much more to me through the people around me at CGA.
“What is CGA exactly?”
At its bare basics CGA is an internship and discipleship program. What this program does is it helps people step into their calling more, to help them vision/dream and to help build them into what they desire to be and or do. At CGA they have a variety of different tracks that you can do; worship, field leadership, justice, discipleship in missions, and evangelism to name a few. Each track is specified so that those who attend CGA get challenged, pushed, and focus in on where the Lord has them. Of course this can change and thankfully you are able to change your track, or add on time to CGA.
“What track are you going to do?”
I am going to be doing the field leadership track which was laid on my heart after leading on the World Race. Here is a little bit on the field leadership track as it is on CGA’s website (http://www.adventures.org/globalaction/?): “Solid communities don't just happen; they are made. In the Field Leadership Track, we will help you grow in your ability to lead others through a Holy Spirit led transformational process such as the World Race or Passport trips. You will dive into your own spiritual journey, be trained in leadership and management skills, and develop the competencies necessary to lead an Adventures in Missions trip effectively. Come prepared to be pushed and challenged, and expect to be a contributor in the process.”

How can you help?
First of all know that the best way you can support me and help me is by coming alongside of me through prayer and encouragement. Second, you can also follow my journey on my blog, which I will hopefully be able to keep a little bit more up-to-date with. Third, I am going to be sending out newsletters every month via email so if you would like to get those simply comment below and and email will be sent to me with your email address, if you fill in that information when you comment. Lastly, you can donate. I need to fundraise $4,000 for this program and you can give a one time donation or a monthly donation. You can do this online by clicking the support me at the top of my blog page and then it'll take you to a new page. From there you can click on the "choose program" option and click CGA and follow as directed!
My hope and prayer is that you see my heart behind going to CGA, after I am done with this program I am wanting to go and applicate what I learned on the field and lead people on trips via World Race, Passport, or anywhere else that the Lord is calling me. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me, all my information is in my contact section of my blog, I would love to hear from you! You all are awesome and I hope and pray that the Lord continues to bless you and use to rock the Kingdom!
