On May 18th, I’ll be on Southwest Airlines flight 1211.
If you’ve ever flown Southwest, you know that they give out peanuts AND pretzels AND drinks. Is it just me or do snacks just taste better at 30,000 feet?
World Race Training Camp in Georgia.
This week-long, intensive training camp is to prepare me for the World Race in a couple different ways. I’ll get to meet the 5 people that I will be traveling the world with. The people that I will laugh a lot with. The people that I will sometimes argue with. But most importantly, the people that I will love Jesus and serve others with.
Training camp is meant to break you. It’s meant totear down your walls and throw away anything that might hinder you from ministering and loving on people all over the world. Training camp is all about me. It sounds selfish, but it’s true. Training camp is about making sure that I have what I need from Jesus, and making sure that He has what I need to give Him, because for the next year, it’s all going to be about loving and serving and ministering to others.
7 days for me.
334 days for others.
Sounds like a fair trade, right?
Here’s the thing. This is happening. I am going on the world race. Please help me go in July! I need $2,500 $2,000 $1,700 more to reach my next deadline of July 1st. I want to have more than that, though. I want to be as close to fully funded as possible so that I don’t have to worry about being in the jungle in Africa and raising money in the United States at the same time. There are a couple of ways you can help.
First, I am looking for 50 35 people to support me for at least $15/month. That’s fair, right?
Second, I am looking for people who are willing to make one-time donations of any amount.
Third, I am selling these awesome shirts, and you should buy one! They are based off of Matthew 10:39 – “Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it”.
Crew Neck – $20 Shipping Included
V-Neck – $25 Shipping Included
To make a donation or buy a shirt, make the appropriate donation at the link on the left of this page titled ‘Please Support Me’. If you are buying a shirt, make sure the address you list is where you want the shirt to be shipped to. Then, find the ‘Contact’ link and send me a message with what style and size shirt you would like.
