My name is Patrick Doty.

I’m from…well, that’s a difficult question. I am from the Netherlands, North Carolina, Mississippi, Texas, Missouri. I was raised in a military family, so I moved around a lot.

I received my BA in Intercultural Studies. For the past few months, I was serving out an internship in New Zealand, and began to feel a desire to apply for the World Race. After applying, I actually began to explore other opportunities. Looking for jobs around the United States, or even teaching jobs in Asia. However, none of those options felt right. When I got the call to tell me I was accepted into the World Race, I immediately felt so much peace about it, that I didn’t have any doubts that this is where God was calling me! Now, having returned from the World Race, I live in Georgia and work as the Regional Director of Africa for the World Race.

I believe that by devoting my life and intentionally learning to live as Jesus lived, touching the poor, learning to live on little, I will become the world changer that God intended for me to be. I’ve got one life to live and I want to commit to making it the radical life that Jesus himself modeled. I know I’ll learn to abandon all that has made my life comfortable and will learn to depend on him as I’ve never had to before.

Oh, and hook ’em Longhorns!   m/
