When Brady was 6, his parents thought it would be a good idea for him to tell a joke to the family at Thanksgiving dinner. So, when the entire family was ready to begin, his mom had him stand up and say.
“April showers bring May flowers, what do Mayflowers bring?”
The family all shook their heads laughing and said, “What Brady, what do May flowers bring?”
“Pilgrims,” he screamed as he ran downstairs.
I am sure we aren’t the only one’s who have felt like they have gone through a lot of showers this April. And most of us probably won’t experience a boat full of pilgrims as we enter into the month of May. But what we need to remember is even though we may not see a rainbow at the end of each storm; the promise of growth, improvement and new life awaits each of us just around the corner.
As we move into May and closer to leaving on this amazing journey, try to keep in mind that none of us will stop the storms of life just because we are walking in faith with Christ. In fact, the storms may seem to worsen. But the promise of a growth nears as each and every storm we go through runs out of rain.
May the blessings chase you down and overtake you.
