Month 10!! A little over 5 weeks until I head back to America… I can hardly believe it!!!
We're in Latvia this month, and our ministry has been all over the place. We're based in the seaside city of Liepaja. The church we're working with has so many options for us when it comes to serving the people of Latvia. My main ministry this month is directing, filming, and editing videos.
I have so many ideas for the videos, but we've only been able to record and publish two videos to youtube so far. The first one is an old-fashioned silent film.
We had fun filming this. As Latvians walked past us in their buttoned up coats, we got so many looks when we were filming the shorts scene. I think we're showing this video in service this week at church.
The other video that we finished took us four hours of practicing and filming. It's a skit that was done 5 or 6 years ago at a church, and I've always wanted to be a part of it. So, when everyone jumped at being in this film, we decided to start practing right away. This one's a little longer (5:17), but it's worth it.
I hope you enjoyed these videos. I will hopefully have many more to post this month. I've really enjoyed directing and editing these videos; I'm so grateful for this ministry! I love working with these Latvian-American movie stars!
Along with videos, I'm part of the presentation team. What that means is we have a presentation on American, Indian, Cambodian, and African culture. We went to a school yesterday to present on being a missionary. I enjoyed encouraging the kids to be missionaries right where they are. Just by loving those around them, we told them that they can be a missionary to their friends and family.
