In Malachi 3, God asks that the people who had turned from him to come back. He explains to them that they are robbing him of tithes. I think that he is trying to remind them that he is the owner of all and that they are only managers of everything that He has given to them. But, I love how, right after this statement, God is there, ready to redeem.

In verse 10, the NIV says, “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.”

In other words, don’t try to keep anything from God. He is our father and provider. I love the promise that we are given after we completely put our trust in him. The NLT translates it like this, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won't have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!”

Doesn’t it seem like God is saying to us, “Ha! You think your plan is so much better than mine. Let’s see. Try it out.” I love that.

One other translation, the ESV, translates the last part as “I will… pour down a blessing until there is no more need.”

I absolutely love that. It’s like God is saying, why are you even worrying? I’ve got this under control. Trust me.
This verse just reminds me of what a just God we have. He always provides. ALWAYS.

I wanted to share that story and what it means to me before I gave you some great news about our Jehovah Jireh.

So what is my Great News?

I AM FULLY FUNDED!!!!!!!

I remember at the beginning of my race telling people that they shouldn’t even worry about the amount that I needed to be funded for the world race. I told them that I believed I would be fully funded before I left.

Well, here I am, only a few days before I’m leaving and I’m fully funded. God is so faithful. If we are faithful and trusting in Him, He will blow our minds.

“Try it! Put me to the test!”

Our answer to that should be a resounding YES!

If you would like to give, I am definitely excited to get funds to use in-country for needs that may arise such as shampoo, Band-Aids, or a candy bar. If you’re interested in doing that, please do not send money to my account here on Adventures in Missions, but rather, PayPal would be great! My email address is [email protected]

But, more importantly than that are my team members. If you would prayerfully consider giving to help them become fully funded, their blogs are:
Josipresley.theworldrace.org
Garretthammonds.theworldrace.org
Jessmartensen.theworldrace.org
Brodycontarino.theworldrace.org
Ashleybreitnaur.theworldrace.org
And Kaitlyn is fully funded also, but her blog is kaitlynwolff.theworldrace.org

Thank you so much for your love and support!
