The past two weeks I have been with teams in the villages of India. It’s been quite a ride experiencing ministry here. The first week, we got off the bus and the very next day we started doing door to door ministry. Praying for people as we entered their homes. Some for their studies, some for their health, others because of ailments and others just for a simple blessing.

The mornings were usually personal times. At night once 5 o’ clock came rolling around, it was time to go.
Here we go, our group of 8, plus our translator and her husband, the pastor, his wife, another guy and the driver. All 14 of us, plus a drum and guitar.

We’d go to a neighboring village about 10 minutes to an hour away. We’d start out doing house visits, praying for those needing prayer. Then we’d meet up at one persons house and there is where we would have night service. We would sing a few songs, they’d sing a few songs, we would give a message, then the pastor would give a message and then we’d pray for everyone who came to the meeting.

Every time we’d start the meetings there would usually be about a handful of kids, men and women. But about the time we were in the middle of singing that is where people would start flooding in. They would pack any space we were at.

Sunday comes along and where we were sleeping at is where we have Sunday morning service.
The service starts at 10. I walk into the room at about 10:05 and sit down on the floor. A handful of people, I’d say about 30. A good amount for village church.

30 minutes later I turn around, and the whole room is full. Even to the point of people looking through from the outside. In a room that is 37 feet by 20 feet there were roughly 200 people there.
Hungry for what The Lord is doing.
It was a sight to see.

The following week I’m with another team and we head into the village.
We mostly do house visits and pray. I’ve never prayed for a goat before but now I have. Even goats need Jesus.
We were coming to the end of our day and we did a few house stops. As we were walking back home we stop at a corner and pray for a lady. Once we were done with her another woman asks for prayer, after her another lady, within 5 minutes we had a group of 20 plus people asking us for prayer. The pastor pulled us away as we could have been there all night.

There is a hunger here in India that people are searching for the One.
They will go to deepest measures to have an embrace with the Most High King. We bring an example of the light but showing true love to those who are lost.
