3:45 am my eyes open
3:50 am i roll out of bed
3:52 am i run to the restroom
3:57 am i hurry to gather my bags
4:00 am i cross the street to meet the rest of my squad and wait for the bus
4:20 am bus rolls up (20 minutes late)
4:30 am begin THE LONGEST BUS RIDE OF MY LIFE (so far…)
4:50 am i fall asleep
8:30 am …still sleeping…
10:00 am first stop (potato chips and gatorade)
10:15 am back on the bus
10:30 am i fall back asleep
11:00 am- 3:00 pm …still sleeping…
4:00 pm second stop
4:15 pm almost cry tears of excitement because i find V8 (veggie juice)!!
4:30 pm we get back on the bus
4:45 pm play pictionary shuffle with 8 other
squad members
5:45 pm i fall back asleep
7:20 pm i open my eyes
7:30 pm HELLO HONDURAS! we switch buses
7:50 pm we load a yellow school bus
7:55 pm we immediately fall in love with the
children on our bus
8:15 pm the bus stops and i realize that the life i knew for the last month was no more! My heart beats
with excitement and the adrenaline rush begins!
The month is off to a great start. we have an
amazing contact. we are being provided with shelter and 3 meals a day, and our entire squad is staying together in one place this month..
how blessed are we!
cant wait to see what God has in store for our team this month!
