A friend asked me to send her this piece written by Brian Barrett to use for girls she is pouring into this week. Three men used it to speak life over women last year in Nicaragua and it brought healing! I was going to send it directly to her but I just feel that the whole world needs to hear this right now.

Woman of God,

I write
from the Men’s point of view that is humble and contrite in spirit,
and trembles at God’s Word. We are disgusted with what “the Worldâ€�
says a woman should look and act like.
If you
have ever been with a man who proclaimed he was a Christian, but
never showed it, we are sorry.
If a man was ever misguiding or ignorant of you, we
are sorry. If a man has ever ignored you for
some other materialistic thing, we are sorry.
If you have ever been physically abused by a man, we
are sorry. If a man has ever forced you to
do something against your will, we are sorry.
If a man has ever spoken death over you, or verbally abused you, we
are sorry. If there is any
other way a man has left you emotionally, mentally, or physically
scarred, we are sorry.
What right does a mortal man have to inflict pain upon a Woman
created by God? None what so ever.
We
apologize because we know you have been hurt. But we ask one thing:
please find the strength to forgive those who have hurt you. If you
do not then, you are giving them power over you. Your actions,
thoughts, and feelings will always be affected if you don’t.
Do not
settle for a man who is less that your highest standards. God knows
your list of what you sincerely want in a Man of God. Be aware of
men who may look like
the Guy of Your Dreams, but on the inside he’s so immature and
doesn’t know what he wants in life. Do not fall for it.
We
understand that, as a Woman you want to be pursued. You want to be
fought for. You want to be accepted. You want to be understood.
You want to be encouraged. You want to be known.
We hope to show you the way you were made to be cared for. Share
your past hurts, but try to see that we are different. We humbly
proclaim that we do not know everything, or cannot fix all problems.
However, we will point you to the One who is able. We will pray with
you. We will pray for you.
Our
goal is to not be like our father, Adam, but rather more like Jesus.
There is no “try� for us. We do.
We act out of Faith &
Love. We will fight for you. We will not sit by and be quiet like
Adam. We will encourage you. We will speak life into you. We will
listen to you. We will respect you. We will honor you. We will
specifically honor you financially, physically, emotionally, and any
other way God has told us in the Word. We are few in existence, but
we’re always challenging the other men around us to be more like
Jesus. We strive to do such things, because that’s what Jesus has
done for his bride, the Church.
We want
to treasure you, because God treasures you. God created us to
coexist together and for each other, not to be bitter or have hatred
towards the opposing gender. Another humbling realization is that
God created Eve last. The pinnacle of all
His creativity, a Woman. YOU are God’s greatest creation. You, a
Woman of God, are priceless
to Him. You are a Daughter of God, whom He has nothing but good
thoughts and intentions towards you. You are Royalty.
You are His beloved. You are a Princess in His eyes. Stop caring
what people of the World might say. Tell the spirit of comparison to
shut up, and go to Hell. You have His authority to do so, which He
freely gives. He knows every thought, dream, and tear of yours. He
is SO proud of you. You have a voice
from Him that is to shatter
strongholds by the
Enemy. Don’t withhold that power.
We get
to simply tell God Thank You for Blessing Us with your presence.
Thank God for your tenderness.
Thank God for your compassion.
Thank God for your input.
Thank God for your motivating words.
Thank God for when you see and call greatness
out of us. Thank God for your elegance.
Thank God for your laughter.
Thank God for your joy.
Thank God for your creativity.
Thank God for your wisdom.
Thank God for Everything. We are humbled by God blessing us with
just who you are. Know that and walk in it.
