It has been a long and trying month in Tanzania. God has taught me a lot of patience this month and He has taught me how to give over all of my worries, doubts, fears, etc. My team left our ministry contacts house on the 23rd of this month. The entire squad was meeting back in Dar Es Salam to take a ferry to Zanzibar for a couple days so we could get some rest. We decided to take the train from Mbeya to Dar Es Salam since it would be more comfortable and less frustrating than taking another bus. So we went to the train station expecting to leave at 2:00 p.m. But of course the train was working on African time so we were held up for another 4 hours. We finally departed at 6:00 p.m. to experience a 28 hour train ride back to Dar Es Salam. When we arrived at the train station every single one of us was ready to get to the hotel to get some rest. All of my teammates and the other team unloaded off of the train while I stayed in the sleeper car to unload bags for everyone. As I was passing bags through the train window to my teammates some guy felt the need to steal my day pack. It had my computer in it along with my passport, cloths, my bible, a couple of books, and all of my flash drives with my world race memories on them. It has been a very unfortunate situation but ever since the moment I got my stuff stolen, I completely gave all of myself to God and knew that He would take care of everything. We are now back from Zanzibar and I am sitting in the New Delhi airport waiting on my plane to leave for Nepal. I have managed to get another passport, a new backpack, and some other miscellaneous stuff. I have had a lot of hassle at the airport today because my old passport had my India visa in it and I was not able to get another one before we left this morning. I am asking everyone to pray for me. I have given everything to God and I have a peace. But things have been hard on me and I am exhausted. Please pray for the guy that stole my stuff. I pray that he will read the bible that was in the bag and come to Jesus because of it. So that is that and now I have some more news to tell you. Two more people went home this week. This caused all of the teams to change so I have a completely new team. I will try my best to link their blogs to my blog as soon as I can. I am not sure what the internet situation is going to be like. My new teammates are Curt Divine, Clint Clark, Ashley Robichaud, and Bridget Mcnamara. I really believe that we will work together well. Please be praying for my new team and R squad as a whole. Thank you all for everything you do for me and for keeping up with me! I love you all! God bless!
