Hi to all! First of all I want to apologize for not writing a blog in the last couple of weeks. We have had very limited access to internet and for the past week we have been in a village without any internet. This month has been a really frustrating and crazy month. However, that is not what I want to talk to you about. I want to talk about a healing that we saw this week.
Two weeks ago I knew that I was going to have to preach. We have been going to church almost every day for the entire month. So all of us were going to have to preach at least once. As soon as I found this out I started fasting for what to preach about. I fasted one day and that day I thought I was supposed to preach on how we are worthy in Gods eyes. However, when I started researching for that sermon nothing was coming together. Therefore, I kept praying about what God wanted me to preach about for my sermon.
A couple days later as I was sleeping God woke me up early in the morning to speak to me about the authority we have in him. For the next three hours I laid there and listened to God give me all kind of material about the authority we have in Christ Jesus.
When I woke up I started putting a sermon together. The thoughts were coming to me and God kept pointing me to different bible verses to back up those thoughts. So after a couple days of putting this sermon together I was very confident that God wanted me to preach on the authority He has given us in our prayers and how to use this authority.
As I said earlier we went to a village for the last 5 days. The first night we had a service as soon as we got there and the rest of the days we had two services per day. I spoke on St. Patrick’s day at the night service. As soon as I got up to preach God started speaking thorough me. I spoke on everything God wanted me to speak about and at the end of the service I got the people who were sick and/or had diseases to come up to the front so we could heal them of anything going on. Some people we prayed for had HIV, others had headaches, another lady came for her son that had a irregular sized heart. Those are just a few of the sickness/diseases we heard about that night. At the end of prayer time no one that we prayed for was immediately healed but the pastor we were staying with opened up his house for people to come anytime they wanted if they needed prayer.
About an hour after we got back to the house our translator told us there were people outside waiting for us to pray for healing for them. We let the people in one by one and prayed with the authority that God has given us to heal them. I believe that many people in this village were healed that night even though we only saw with our own eyes one physical healing. There was one lady with back, leg, and chest pains that came to us. Her chest was in so much pain that it was affecting the way she spoke. Her chest was hurting so bad she had to whisper to our translator to tell us what the problem was.
After we found out the problem we started praying. And WOW! the Holy Spirit showed up that night. When we got done praying for this lady she said that the pain in her back and legs had gone away but she was still whispering and having chest pains. So we thanked God for healing her back and legs and continued to pray for her chest and her voice. A couple minutes later the lady was yelling in excitement. Her voice was back and her chest pains were gone! Immediately healing power happened that night!
I give the glory to God for healing her that night. I also believe that more healing in that village happened but we just could not see it with our own eyes.
