We finally made it to Tanzania. We have been here for about 4 days now. To get here we had to take a 13 hour bus ride to Dar Es Salaam. The squad stayed in a hotel overnight and planned on leaving the next day to go to our separate ministry locations. My team and team Sugullah, who we are partnered with this month, woke up at 5:00 a.m. to head to another bus station after we got around 5 hours of sleep. Our ministry contact is on the opposite side of the country in Mbeya. This time our bus ride was supposed to be an 18 hour ride and it had only been about 7 hours since we had been off the other bus. Therefore, I was not looking forward to another African bus ride.
All 31 of us crowded into the room to worship God. We sang some songs, some shared visions they had, and we encouraged one another. Thank God for that time of worship. The Lord knew that all of us needed to stop and spend time worshipping Him.
God has been speaking to me throughout the race that sometimes I need to stop and spend time in God’s presence. I get so busy doing other things that I forget to worship God. It is such an easy thing to go about our every day life that we forget to stop, slow our minds down, and worship God.
Therefore, I want to encourage you to stop what you are doing today and spend some time with God. It is a challenge I am putting in front of you and me. He is waiting to speak to you if you will stop and listen. God has so many things He wants to tell you. So I am going to stop writing this blog and let you spend some time with God today. I challenge you to stop everything you are doing right now and listen to God speak……
