I just got done doing my daily workout and received some amazing news from Jordan when I finished. While we were in Thailand we worked on a road called Bangla Road. Bangla Road had many streets that intersected with the road and every single street if filled with bars. There were approximately 8 streets and one of them was called Soy Easy.

One night my team and I were doing ministry on Bangla Road. We just got done worshipping at the house and I was full of the Holy Spirit as I was walking down Bangla Road. I was ready for God to use me in a big way. Carmen, another woman on my squad, was with me that night and God led her and I to minister on a street called Soy Easy. We walked onto the street and then headed to the bar we were planning on going to. Our original purpose for going to Soy Easy was so we could see one of the girls Carmen was building a relationship with but when we got to the bar the girl she wanted to see was not there. So we talked to other prostitutes for a minute then we continued on our way walking through the street. We did not feel like God was leading us to anyone else on that street at the time so we went outside back onto Bangla Road.

As soon as we got outside Carmen and I decided to A.T.L (Ask The Lord) what to do. Immediately, we started praying and I heard God tell me clearly Soy Easy. So we decided to go back in. When we went back into the bar we started talking to some prostitutes and got one of them to play pool with us. I was still not feeling anything but Carmen was talking to the prostitute while I was playing pool with her. Then I heard God’s voice clearly. He told me to go talk to a guy that was sitting on a bar stool at the end of the street. I did not want to talk to him at first because I didn’t know how I would start a conversation with him. So I kept playing pool and God kept telling me to go over there and talk to him. As God was talking to me I looked at the guy again and there was a bright yellow arrow pointing straight at him. At the beginning of the night we prayed that God would give us clear directions and so I knew this was God telling me to go talk to him. At this point Jordan had come back from another bar and was with me. I told him the situation and I wanted to listen to God and obey his voice so we went over there and started talking to him.

When we got over there I ordered a red bull and struck up a conversation with this guy very easily. I had also prayed earlier that our conversations would flow naturally so that was another prayer God answered.  I found out his name was Brian and he had 7 heart attacks in the past. Therefore, I started asking him about what his thoughts were on after life. He told me that he hoped there was one. So I asked him if he believed in God. He said “I hope there is and then he told me not to push religion on himâ€. So I honored Brian and said ok not a problem. He then told me “I’ll tell you what, I will keep an open mind about Godâ€. I was rejoicing inside when he told me this and then started to talk to him about other things. I don’t think Brian knows this but he touched my life that night. God strengthened my faith through talking to him that night. I loved hearing his story and where he came from. Jordan and I had a great conversation with him for about 45 minutes then we all parted our own ways.

I have not seen Brian since that day but the next two days I heard from some friends that he was asking about me. I thought it was amazing that God allowed Jordan and two of my other friends from the squad to run into him again. They told me he was asking about me so three days later I went back to try to talk to him again. This time Jordan was with me and he wrote a note to Brian about how God loved him and that his life was worthy. We waited around for him for a while but he never showed up. However, we knew that he did know the bartender so we handed her the note to give to Brian and hoped that God would get it to him.

Now it is one month later and Brian just wrote Jordan and email! He told him that he got the note and he appreciated someone taking the time to write him a note because not many people do that now days. At the end of the note he wrote God bless! That was very encouraging to hear today that he had got the letter and he wrote back to us.

I am so excited that God touched Brian’s life through us. Brian, if you are reading this I want you to know that we all love you and we are praying for you. I loved having the conversation with you at Jasmine Bar and think you are an amazing guy. I want everyone that reads this blog to pray for Brian right now at this moment. Pray that God will draw himself close to Brian and give him the gift of salvation! Also if you have not received salvation from God just ask God to give you the gift of salvation and he will. It is a free gift that God offers and all we have to do is receive it and live for God. Thank you everyone for praying!
