Construction Crew
This month Team APEX is heading to the bush (by the time I
post this all of you will have picked that up. . . since I won’t be in contact)
The bush of Africa-Part of me feels like I’m not ready for
it and the other part knows that God’s clearly in charge. . . he’s sending the
ONLY all women team out for construction. He must really have big plans here,
knowing that men would only complicate it!
We are working directly with a couple who have started
AFRICA on FIRE Ministries. They have a God sized visions (approximately 72
acres of donated land) they hope to soon be filled with 14 children homes for
100% orphans in the village area, a secondary school, a church, a bible
college, trade schools, temporary missionary housing, permanent missionary
housing and more!
We are getting to pioneer this ministry starting with Pastor
Filito’s own home! We are filling the foundation with the oh so lovely African
red dirt that stains everything it touches, bundling bamboo for the walls. .
and today, I, YES for real I found myself on the top layer of the scaffolding
things nailing up the foundation of the roof. . . I then was down in the dirt
using an electric saw!!!
It will hopefully be finished before we leave, but the
foundation of this home will be built upon the Lord for with every pile of
dirt, with every piece of bamboo, and every nail I use we are prayerful for
Africa to really be ON FIRE for the Lord!
