To preface, I do not hold any sort of degree from a seminary, credible bible school, or the like. However, I do have personal experience and guidance from great apostolic leaders about the Holy Spirit. I encourage you to challenge, ask God, discern, and read what I share to what you believe. There's definitely more I could say, but I'd like to keep it as "simple" as possible.
The Holy Spirit Is Alive and Real.
What's key is to not just read about and acknowledge the Holy Spirit, but rather apply it to a daily life acting in love and faith.
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:8
1. God speaks, Life happens. We each reflect the image of God. Genesis 1-2 The Holy Spirit or "The Forgotten God" is apart of the Trinity.
2. Humans have an inheritance, which includes the Holy Spirit to be used for His Glory. We are God's human counter-part. Sons, not slaves, get the inheritance. Galatians 4 and Romans 8.
3. God is always speaking to us. Are we listening? God never condemns. Isaiah 54:8-10
4. Cast off all distractions, put yourself in a position to receive from God, and the "pressure" is on the Holy Spirit to speak to you. 1 Corinthians 4:3-4
5. Approach with intent not for selfish reasons. Galatians 5:16-17
6. God designed Logic. Sometimes the Holy Spirit doesn't make sense to our logical thinking humanistic views. Acts 2:14-21
7. Holy Spirit is Heaven here on Earth. Must be acknowledge and accessed. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-22
8. Holy Spirit is used to cast out darkness and bring Life through Light. Luke 10:17-20
9. Be baptized in the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:18-20
"Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every Spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one is in the world." 1 John 4:1-4
