When people think “South”, one usually hints it’s “underneath/below”. The movement of Freedom has been birthed into existence from the past years of rebels fighting against oppression of the Islamic North. The one’s who will truly change South Sudan are simply the people of the land. They’re the ones who will truly lead their own people to improved life, infrastructure, health, education, and less corruption. The movement is lying underneath their own feet. It’s them. They have the ability, but perhaps not the knowledge or understanding.
I’ve created the group to help communicate across everyone who my teammates and I are connected with in the World. We are open to your ideas. Please share and stay connected via our group. If you have ideas of different teaching methods we could use with the children, activities to engage the youth, great skits and stories to share, raising awareness, raising support, topics of talk when in disciple groups, or what ever we may need to be made aware of! We will use this group as our outlet of sharing events, pictures, stories, blogs, news, and needs leading up to and while there in Yei (the city we’ll be in).
Call me crazy, but I’m still trying to go to South Sudan after it didn’t work out last year. This time, God’s been putting opportunities and people “in my lap”,so to speak, over the past year.
4 others and I intend to leave between December 2012 and January 2013 for an estimated 18 months.

We will work alongside an existing orphanage and the local community. We all have different skills and abilities we’re desiring to use here to empower, encourage, teach, counsel, and love through our actions.
