…Of God with Humanity.  It’s written all throughout the Bible.  Don’t believe me?  Read it for yourself, but in the meantime I’d like to share a personal “discovery”.

Here at G42, Andrew Shearman, David Fredriksz, and the other leaders always talk of “What’s It All About” & “What is God’s Point?”.  Valid questions to base one’s belief on in really anything.  They keep talking it’s about “God Wanting His Family Back”.  He created us to get Our Inheritance He gives to those who really want to Bring His Kingdom.  How Heaven is NOT the Objective, but a benefit.  Bringing His Kingdom and Heaven to Earth through love are the objectives.  That getting Jesus will get you nothing, but Christ will cost you Everything.

Anyways, in my opinion these are profound and refreshing revelations/understandings the entirety of Christianity needs to get “smacked upside the face” with.  I knew of certain popular verses in the New Testament, which went along with much of what I have shared here.  Yet, in the back of my mind I’ve been wondering for the past 3 months “where the heck did they get this stuff from?”

I’ve been doing my own personal reading and study in some good ‘Ol Testimony in Isaiah (I’ve never fully read it for myself before).  If you haven’t read this Book of the Bible, the 1st 39 Chapters are pretty tough and brutal.  However, there’s a shift around Chapter 40.  I began to recognize lots of popular quoted scripture and even some Christian song lyrics.

Then…I found it.
I understand it’s important to take scripture in context and everything, but this just clicked in my head when I read it.  Where God is talking to “Israel”, His people.  I couldn’t help but Stare at this scripture, and read it over and over again.

Isaiah 44:22 “I have swept away your offenses like a cloud, your sins like the morning mist.  Return to me, for I have redeemed you.”

This hit me like a ton of bricks.  Do you realize how stubborn the Israelites were to God up until this point?  It’s disgusting, and He answers them with this?  What if we apply it to ourselves? Yet, God tells us we’re Redeemed?! What have we done to deserve this? NOTHING! It’s called Grace. BUT It continues…

Sorry, I just thought this was hilarious.

Now, scripture says “to Cyrus”, who apparently was the “one” to bring Israel back together.  The exert at the bottom of the page says it’s Hebrew for “Him”.  This part simply clicked in my head.  Fill Your name in the Blank below and read it out-loud/to yourself.

Isaiah 45:1-8 “This is what the Lord says to his anointed, to _____, whose right hand I take hold of to subdue nations before him and to strip kings of their armor, to open doors before him so that gates will not be shut: I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down the gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron.  I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name and bestow on you a title of honor, though you do not acknowledge me, so that from the rising of the sun to the place of it’s setting men may know there is none besides me.  I am the Lord, and there is no other.  I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the Lord, do all these things.”

My mind felt as if it exploded after reading this.  I don’t know about you, but it just Makes Sense!  I read it with my name in the _____ spot, and I get goosebumps and shivers down my spine.  My heart beat quickens, and I can’t help but Praise Him!  He calls US His Anointed!  He Summons us by name!  We are bestowed a title of honor?! AH!! Are you Serious?!

As for the “though you have not acknowledged me” part, I feel that is us when we ignore what is being said of us by God.  We’re rejecting what He is calling us to be…Greatness.  He’s always right there whispering it to us, and even the Holy Spirit uses people and signs to tell us.  However, What If we started to acknowledge Him?  We tell God we Really want what He’s freely Offering us.

“Treasures of darkness”.  DO you even realize what He is talking about here?  It’s when Jesus is crucified for Our sins to take away the weapons of Hell away, and then gives to us?  What?  This entire thing is prophetical!  If this doesn’t make you excited, then I personally can’t do anything to help you other than tell you to Open Your Heart to Him.

So there you have it!  Read it for yourself.  Pray and discern what this implies to You!  And yes, God Does want His Family back. Go forth and be blessed!
