We see things in the news or hear stories, and then attempt to picture ourselves there. Yet, it is Still Not the same.
Being in the middle of the situation, culture, and environment can become overwhelming.
This ONE community is right off the main road that is constantly Ignored and Disregarded by Society. Sort of like that Blemish or gray area in our mind that Actually Exists, but we Decide to not Worry about it.
Thousands of people all over the world are in Similar Circumstances, yet we hardly Ever Communicate with them.
They are a people who do Hard Work, are Thankful for what belongings they do have, and seem to have such a Joyous Heart and Smile whenever one speaks to them. This is the last resort of places to live. There is No Other place to go for them. They take Pride in their hard work of collecting things and selling them. They Will Not resort to Begging.
Words alone cannot explain the atmosphere and the sense of the Filipinos that I feel from them. Especially the ones in the Tondo community. A sense that They are Continuously Up-Beat and Will Come Through Whatever Hardships Arise. A sense, which I Do Not get from Many Americans, They can seriously do Anything through Christ who Strengthens Them. I can Just imagine the mood in the air if there were communities like this in the U.S. The mood would Certainly Not Be like these People.
Part of The World Race is certainly people WAKING UP to the REAL WORLD and How Corrupt Satan has Polluted this Earth with his LIES.
OUR Generation of people Must WAKE UP and REALIZE The World Around US! See that the Lord is in Every Single Thing and has a Strong Presence throughout the World.
These people WORSHIP HIM Despite Their Circumstances and Poverty. They are On Fire and Love HIM. They Express Continuous Enthusiasm and Joy, Even when they live in a DUMP!!
They Woke Me Up more into Truly Realizing How Great HE IS, and that We are All HIS Children & He Will NEVER LEAVE US. So We should Rejoice and have a ThankFul Heart.
Find Rest, O my soul, in God alone; my HOPE comes From HIM. He Alone is my Rock & my Salvation; He is my Fortress, I Will Not Be Shaken. My Salvation and my Honor depend on GOD, He is my Mighty Rock, my Refuge. Trust in Him at All Times, O people; Pour out Your Hearts to Him, for GOD is Our Refuge. Psalm 62:5-8
The Filipinos Understand and put this to Practice. Let us Join Them.
