We serve an amazing God, I saw his work of protection last
week when our day off at the waterfall turned out a little different than
planned J
As many of you know my team is all women, so God has some
extra angel encamped around us!! We went on this hike to a waterfall in the
gorgeous land of the Philippines. As my team and our drivers (Donald and
Richard) were climbing down into the valley to play in the falls, a group of
about 10 Filipino men came out of nowhere and started to go toward the falls we
were planning to swim in. Because of the
# men compared to us, our drivers didn’t feel comfortable letting us swim with
them. so we waited and walked down the river away from the group just to be
cautious.
Thankfully God placed Richard with us that day. He is a
former gangster so he knows how to protect and discern when something could
happen. So God gave us 2 men that day instead of just one. Long story short…the group of men stopped
swimming and started coming our way… so Richard started calling other
ex-gangsters to come and scare them off…they even called the major!!(we have
connections!)…about 30 minutes of us waiting, back up came and scared of the
Filipinos…so we swam and had fun. As we were being escorted out and getting in
“our get away car”, I looked over and saw a huge M16 up my friend Jake’s
shirt!! Haha. They meant business!! As
we kept looking at the guys that came to help us we saw that most of them had
either hand guns or big fatty ones like Jake’s!! I felt so safe! I loved watching how God brought
us out of danger and placed Richard with us just to make sure we wouldn’t be
harmed. Never in my life was I more thankful to have gangsters as friends, lol!
God worked in simple ways now doesn’t he;)
Sorry mom if that scared you!! Thankfully the story ended
well huh!
Keep Praying for Protection please! God is answering our
prayers and he is worthy of our trust. Don’t fear for us…but in turn believe
that Jesus will continue to deliver us from the evil of man.
