God is soo good!
Something God has been teaching me lately is to trust in Him
and to not fear what man can do. He has been reminding me through sermons at
church, in team time, through songs, and pretty much anytime I open my Bible I
read something about trusting in the Lord and fearing Him. It is something that I am not good at doing
sometimes. I like to take control and try to do things myself, if you know
anything about me that probably doesn’t surprise you!
Last week I was fearing the things of man and looking at corruption
of man and letting fear take over my mind, which is exactly what Satan wants. Fear
can creep in easily being in countries where corruption is high, you don’t
speak their language, and where calling 911 doesn’t do much! but God has a
different standard, He is so much greater and is teaching me to fear His power over life and death and to trust in him.
Some Scripture that has both blessed and challenged me
lately are:
Ps 34:4 I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered
me from all my fears
Vs 7 The angel of the
Lord encamps around those who fear him and he delivers them
Ps 27: 1-3 The Lord is my light and my salvation of whom
shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life of whom shall I be afraid?
When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh, when my enemies and foes
attack me, they will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege me, my heart will
not fear; though war beak out against me, even then will I be confident!
As I was struggling to let this sink in, God gave me a real
life example of him protecting my team and I…it has something to do with
gangster’s, guns, and a waterfall!!
